Attention Veterans

There are 2 new programs now available to provide veterans assistance with their training or retraining needs.  These programs are in addition to the GI Bill programs many veterans are familiar with.  Even if you have exhausted your GI Bill education benefits or you were not eligible for them, these new programs may provide you with the means to pursue new or additional training.  For more information on these new opportunities contact the veteran representatives at your local One Stop Centers or click below for other contacts.

Youth Services

We provide work related services to youth who are between the ages of 14 to 24 years old, meet the income guidelines and have obstacles to overcome in obtaining employment or completing a high school diploma. Services range from job training to adult mentoring. Our staff works with all high schools, Alternative and Adult Education Programs in Yuba County.


Apply for Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act Program Services
If you would like to apply for employment and/or training services from the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program, call (530) 749-4850 or come into our One-Stop Center and sign-up to attend a WIA information orientation, which are held weekly. All WIA services are provided to eligible applicants on a case-by-case basis with priority given to Yuba County residents.  For your convenience, if you are a resident of another county, we recommend that you first make contact with the One-Stop Center in that county to see what WIA services may be available to you at that location.         [Click here to find a One-Stop Center near you]

Changes to GED Testing

 Starting January 1, 2014 the GED testing process will see significant changes. Those currently enrolled in GED programs must complete those programs by December 31, 2013 or they will have to start over under the new changes.

Womens, Infants and Children Program Flyer

WIC provides for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
