Veterans Training Program

The VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011 has been signed into law.  Included in this new law is the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) for unemployed Veterans. The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) and the Department of Labor (DoL) are working together to roll out this new program on July 1, 2012. The new program will provide retraining for Veterans hardest hit by current economic conditions.   [Read More]

Youth Services

We provide work related services to youth who are between the ages of 14 to 21 years old, meet the income guidelines and have obstacles to overcome in obtaining employment or completing a high school diploma. Services range from job training to adult mentoring. Our staff works with all high schools, Alternative and Adult Education Programs in Yuba County.

Who is Eligible?

  • Children from birth through 6 years of age
  • Children who do not qualify for Med-Cal or Healthy Families or have a high share of cost for Medi-Cal
  • Children not covered by insurance through a family member’s employer
  • Immigration status does not matter

Women, Infants and Children Program Advertisement

WIC provides for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
